What a wonderful informational meeting the owners and residents of Tivoli Village enjoyed last Wednesday night. For the first time many of our residents learned about the status of our Home Owners Association, our developer and the potential mess that may be on our hands when the HOA is turned over.
Diane Hilt-Hicks, our Community Association Manager with Sentry Management was a brave sole in facing the onslaught of frustrated residents. She answered questions to the best of her ability and remained constant in her loyalty to the current president of our board, Kyle Sanders.
A few things have happened since our meeting that every resident in Tivoli Village should know about. Diane forwarded me an e-mail to Mr. Sanders in reference to our meeting and some of the many concerns we have. Diane has a solution to the pool and tot lot lock and appears to have something in action within the next 5 weeks. She also is checking the cost of changing the codes on our entrance into the community as well as the type of drain we have in our pool. Diane has also let me know that inspectors from Wigington Fire Inspection will be here October 1, 2, and 3 to check our fire systems. As soon as we know more about this it will be posted on our newspaper.
Mr. Sanders himself responded to an e-mail of mine to inform us that the lots in the northeast corner are no longer owned by Cambridge Homes but instead owned by Better Built Homes. I personally met John McCormick of Florida Energy Services who was hired by Better Built Homes to check the area for potential WWII era bombs left over from Pinecastle Jeep Range. Walking there today you will see some of the many flags illustrating some type of metal under the ground.
Now that a meeting has happened to address the issues we ask for another meeting to address the solutions. We need people to sign up their building for the Neighborhood Watch, we need to come up with a plan of how best to address these issues, and we need to come together again as a community. Stay tuned to this site and signs in the Neighborhood for that next meeting sometime in the next month. Please bring your neighbors with you to the next meeting.
