Community Budget Meeting

I hope we have all received a letter discussing this but there will be a budget meeting for our H.O.A. The meeting will take place November 24th at 7:00 pm at the Church of the Nazarene on Curry Ford Road. Here is a map to the church.

They want to raise our HOA fees by 15% next year partially due to a lack of payment from existing residents. We need to have a ridiculous amount of people there to discuss this very concerning issue. Hope to see you there.

It is imperative that we ALL take time from our busy schedules to attend this meeting. I know our pocketbook cannot sustain this raise in HOA fees.

See you Monday!

15% is ridiculous!! They are going to put more people into foreclosure. My wife and I are school teachers and we have a newborn baby so money is tight. Along with the other increases such as utilities, insurance, ect. we need to fight this together.

Our position is to lower the HOA fees to $500 per 6 months and talk about the economy again then. If after 6 months we are still in the same place we extend this another 6 months. At a year the rates go back up to $1100.

To accomplish this we will have to cut back on services in the community and come together to work on things ourself.

I am in agreement that the increase is ridiculous. I will not be in town, but will pray that enough people show up to make a difference. I don't think we should have to be penalized for people who haven't paid what they were supposed to pay. The increase almost makes you think that you can't afford to live here. I do agree that we need to cut back on services.

It is obvious that Kyle Sanders is self serving, and will continue to raise the budget by 15% each year that he is in control of it. What infuriates me is that the budget is clearly padded. Not to beat a dead horse but $15,000 dollars a year for mulch is ridiculous! Does he have a duty to bid these contracts out? Also, can he be made to produce documentation showing that he did in fact pay the mulch people $15,000. How do we know that the budget is legitimate, and that he is just not shifting money around for his own benefit?
