THANK YOU!!!!

Thanks to the efforts of more than 80,000 e-mails and phone calls Governor Crist has in fact vetoed the bill SB6/HB7189 making it so teachers will not have merit based pay. I want to say thank you for the help of any resident of Tivoli Village with this effort. We have many teachers that live here and this goes a long way in making things better.

Please know that teachers across the state of Florida agree that student efforts and performance must increase and that we accept the leadership role in making those changes a reality. We ask though that any changes made are comprehensive acknowledging that a students efforts in the classroom begin in the home. Parents must be number one in the battle to increase educational outcomes. I appreciate any input you may have on this so please respond but remember no unidentified comment will be published.
