As the economic situation in our nation continues to be slow with its recovery and the unemployment rate stays near that 10% we are only going to see a continued rise in crime throughout the Central Florida area. A continued, combined effort by all owners and residents of Tivoli Village is needed in order to keep our development as nice as it has been since the first building went under construction. Leland Management has made great improvements in the parking of our community; Progress Energy has been out to repair broken lights; and watchful neighbors have been making appropriate calls to the police. But this is not enough. We need to establish a Neighborhood Watch committee and establish community safety walks. Neighborhood watch seems a good idea. Has there been much crime in this neighborhood? I've only lived here 10 months.
