Intro

To Tow or Not To Tow

Letter dated April 8th from Leland Management:
"Dear Residents,
Now that all the "NO PARKING SIGNS" have been installed, this letter shall serve as a REMINDER that all vehicles illegally parked within the Tivoli Village community will be towed without further warning at the owners expense. This parking restriction shall apply equally to illegally parked vehicles of owners, tenants, guests and trespassers within our community."
The letter goes on to define "illegally parked vehicles"as but not limited to:
1. Commercial trucks - except crime prevention units.
2. Anything that violates government regulations.
3. Vehicles parked on grass or sidewalks.
4. Inoperative vehicles not move for 5 days.
5. Vehicles undergoing major maintenance.
6. All vehicles without current plates.
These rules have been established to live up to City of Orlando ordinances, to create a safe and healthy environment and to help our home values to continue to rise.

I was just informed that motorcycles are included as vehicles that are "illegally parked vehicles" and I wanted to be sure everyone who owns one knows that it is to be parked in your garage. Not sure why these are included and recommend anyone who has a question about this contact our management company.

I do know we have had a history of people driving motorcycles throughout the neighborhood including behind peoples homes. Beyond this being a total classless act, it is unsafe and may be the reason for the rule. Not sure though!
