HOA Update

HERE WE GO AGAIN ... Since the beginning of February e-mails have been placed to the Developer of Tivoli Village to voice continued concerns with our development, paying special attention to the 2 car garage albatross with little response. Let me fill you in...
Starting very soon any car being parked on the road between midnight and six in the morning will be towed by Airport Towing. Any car in a space along one of our lakes for more than a few days will also be towed. Don't allow a friend to leave their car while they fly out or leave a broken down car. ... Our pool is still closed and according to Sentry Management we are waiting for the county to come out to clear it for swimming. ... Handicapped spaces and no parking zones in front of the mailboxes are to be painted soon but no specific date has been provided. ... An archway has been constructed on the 2-car garage unit and is said to be "... an acceptable design feature. Although it is not found on any of the other building in the development, it was in his opinion in keeping with the style of architecture and actually a "design upgrade." " In reference to the windows that do not match any other home in our development ... "the new windows are on order and they will be switched out once delivered."
As more information comes along I will be sure to pass it along!

How was the Transition Team selected? I would like to be a part of the Transition Team, if I know what it entails. In all honesty I don't see that much attention paid to this side of Tivoli Village and I am always watching. For instance the other day there were 2 young men (20's) coming by all of the houses and checking door knobs. I didn't know who to call and what the procedures are. I confronted the 2 men from upstairs and they continued all the way to the other side of the new constuction, going door to door to door until I could no longer see them. I called a number of a paper left on my door and it was an answering machine that responded. I didn't leave a message.

I also mentioned the fact that someone tried to pull the door knob off our new neighbor's house... the house next door to Tara & Chet. I haven't heard anything about that either.

I finally got a number to call the police, which I will begin to do directly. Maybe we can have a place we can make posts on so that we can all communicate just like they do on facebook? Both incidents I know of should be advised to the community to take precautions. Someone using a black hood was seen going behind 2 town houses the other day. I told some neighbors that I saw, that plus the door knobs... mught be linked. I think it would be nice to let the neighbors know about that immediately to advise them of the risks as night without keeping their eyes open.

As a baby boomer I am not that computer proficient and stuff but if we could open a page where we can communicate with one another that would be awesome!

If there is a location already, I would like to know about it so I can go to it too, please.

Like I said I would like to be a part of the transition team. I don't believe the rights of some can infringe on the rights of others and it should be for the entire community not only sections. I think we can all agree that we all bought homes and all have rights that should be respected. There were rules handed to everyone when they purchased the homes. Let's begin enforcing those issues. Because right there it is said that garages are to be used as that... garages.... THAT is one of the parking problems. By enforcing that first issue will reduce the problems of the entire community. I didn't buy a home to have everyone else tell me what to do with it.

We talk about dog poop, but it should not be in the back yeards either... that still infringes upon my rights as a non dog owner by choice. Animals are responsabilities we assume and those who don't want those responsabilities should not have to deal with them.. hence the poop on the grass of common areas. We as humans flush everytime we go to the bathroom..... pick up after the dog too... simple logic.

Well, I spoke my piece..... I hope I am not disliked for speaking out what many think and dare not say. We have a wonderful community.... let's respect each other's rights and follow rules that were provided when we purchased our homes. Renters MUST follow those rules as well.

Thank you.

Diana

. Transition Team should be something asked he entrance which I am always looking at, but any time I have said or asked something it's not dealt with

I do not agree with towing vehicles and I think the pool should be closed, since it seems to always be closed any way.

If you see suspicious activity such as men trying door knobs on every house, call the police 911. This is an emergency situation as they apparently are trying to find houses they can break into. This is a police matter, not the responsibilty of the HOA.
