Of the many topics discussed the major focus and concern of those in attendance was the lack of money being submitted to our association and what can be done to address these losses. All were in agreement that the almost 170k we have in arrears is just too high and action needs to take place. Of the owners with more than one year past due on their association fees (that would be $2600) the total amount owed to our association is $147,026.51. If the association pursues, as agreed upon, foreclosure proceedings on those 31 units the association stands to earn $80,538, minus attorney fees.
Of the many other issues discussed last night, community members came to an agreement of cooperation when dealing with the hot button topics of parking, pet clean up and pool use. Although no resolution was found on any of these topics all in attendance agreed to work with each other in dealing with individual issues as they arise.
On a personal note, I want to address one concern brought up by a resident. Although they were the one to bring the issue up I am confident they are not alone with this concern. ... This web based community newspaper was created in an effort to bring our community together. I wanted to share issues, concerns, events that effect Tivoli Village. It was in this same vain that I first contacted Coughlin, Stoia, Gellar, Rudman and Robbins to be the legal representatives in our suit against Cambridge Homes with respect to Pinecastle Jeep Range. They now are the one law firm handling the class action law suit for all homes in in the former bombing range. My family, along with the other families of our transition team, have hosted events, at our own costs, in our homes and at our pool. We have sponsored the community garage sales, the National Night Out and Sausage Fest.
I would hope our management company would have created an official web site to share community issues. I had hoped that our development would have been turned over to residents already but neither has happened and this site and our transition team have accepted the responsibilities of leadership in our community. If ANYONE would like to join the transition team or even make recommendations to the team please e-mail any one of us. It is not an official job but instead one that you serve as a volunteer getting no rewards outside of keeping this community as nice as it can be.
