After more than a year of sending e-mail and asking for help the City of Orlando is coming through once again, for it's residents. Pineleaf Road, on the North side of our development, has a speed limit of 25 mph and yet frequently has people driving 40, 50 even 60 mph along it. The city came out in late 2009 and approved the installation of speed devices to slow this traffic down. At the time of this article we are not sure what the devices will exactly be but we have been informed by the traffic department that these devices will be installed by the end of September. This, in conjunction with the no parking signs at the corner of Pineleaf and Econ. have seriously created a safe area for students waiting at the bus stop as well as residents biking or walking along the road. I am thrilled that the city has stepped up and helped Tivoli Village become a better place to live.
