Tivoli Village has a posted of speed limit of 25 mph. Several residents in the neighborhood are concerned that this speed is too high to drive safely through the community. And with summer vacation less than a month away we are going to see more and more of our community children playing in the roads. In order to prevent a future issue from happening we ask that all neighbors and their guess drive at speed under 20 mph throughout Tivoli Village. We also ask that everyone e-mail Ernie at Leland Management asking to have the posted speed limit lowered to a safer speed.
We have already had one child hit by a speeding car in 2011. Although the child was fine the thought of what could have happened should send shivers up all our backs. The young driver in this incident has been seen driving at high speeds again and again since the accident. We hope this young person will practice some maturity and drive at a safe speed before something worse happens.
